I know this is the way americans build their houses.... I will not criticise what people does with their money, but the lack of quality is concerning. Besides the usual wood vs concrete debate, Asphalt shingles? Really? I would guess the interior is mostly drywall and the floors are not even hardwood ( in a country known for their wood quantity and Quality) . The thing is the bar is too low, we are speaking about the richest country on earth. Its a pitty that things are made for bussiness people rather than actual consumers. If you people have great quality cars, technology, clothing, etc, why isnt also translated in housing? Literally the most important of all things people can own

Well done! I have a curiosity. Why aren't bricks or other materials used to build the walls? Aren't they more resistant against tornadoes for example? Isn't wood expensive? For example, in Europe, wood is very expensive, and building a house of the same size would cost much more than a house built entirely of concrete and brick. Thank you !

Why no ridge vent/cap?

Not build for earthquakes 😅 green steel and new construction materials and methods. Construction innovations. Good enough, isn’t a foundation to build on. Time will tell ?

Everything was good until I saw the wooden floor frame and the wooden walls. This house will become a fireplace if it catches fire. It will also not hold against a tornado and the thumping sound on the floor makes it a headache to walk at night. I was really expecting the same excellent job you did at the basement to be done at the floor. Hardened poured concrete with fiber for the main floor, and cinder block walls would have made this a heck of a build. As far as the video, probably one of the best I've seen. Thanks!

I lost interest in this video when I seen that there is a seam at the stem wall and Floor slab. Plus where is the moisture barrier between the stem walls, slabs and ground? Looks to me in about 5 years That basement is going to have moisture issues. Just like ever pour before this one. Oh and didnt see the wire lifted off the ground. But Its done and nowadays that is all that matters right. (retired home builder/carpenter.)

When Keller started, I thought how cool European German but then they started making the basement ceiling! Why not cast it out of reinforced concrete? Instead, put in a nasty wooden ceiling where you can hear every step. The rest is typically American cheap! Really boring .

For the foundation, why did they pour the cement on 80% of area on 7/24, then finished the small square on 8/3? why not do it all at once?
